Well, these pics sort of speak for themselves.  Many of the pictures I took during the disassembly process I also tried to mimic in the assembly.  A few of them were so profound that I put the pics together to show exactly just how far some of these parts had come.  They are not all identical, but you get the idea.  I'm looking forward to adding some engine compartment, and body pics to this page .

As promised, here are some Before and After pics of the Engine Compartment and headlight actuators.  More to come soon.

A comment about the second suspension pic.  The exhaust was being dented by the rear spring due to the lack of it's spring and shocks that were completely dry!  Good thing the exhaust pipe was there to keep the rear spring from scraping the ground right??

Chassis

In the first two pics the tank sticker is visible on the front left of the gas tank--- still covered in 23 years of who knows what.  It cleaned up pretty good, but is very difficult to read.  Of course I kept it anyway.

Miscellaneous Pics

I have to comment on the seats.  So far, putting leather over built up old foam had to be one of the most time consuming and tedious tasks I have accepted so far on this project.  The seats as well as the rest of the interior came from Corvette Central (I'm getting the biggest discount they offer right now...not necessarily a good thing) and needed some adjusting to fit correctly.  As the added foam settles some, the bolsters will smooth, but all in all I'm very happy with the way they look.  .....and on another note, what was the owner thinking back in the 80's when he added red velvet???  The same disrespect was found on the door panels as well.  I bet this guy still sports pork- chop sideburns.  My neighbor's brother did my nickel plating of my hood hardware and it came our looking great!
