  1976 4 Speed

This car came from Gulfport near the coast just a few weeks before Katrina hit!  I talked with Scott and the shop where the car was kept was destroyed by the storm.

The Road Trip to get it!

A much shorter trip then the one for the '69 and much more welcome!  There are no pics of the trip, it was a quick nine hours to Gulp Port, and nine hours back.   No stopping thanks to Mitch for helping me drive while watching movies..... or watching movies while driving, I can't remember.

Scott, the previous owner looked about as sad as I felt for him when I drove away.  My hats off to him though!  After being misled and disappointed over the condition of the '69 I bought sight unseen, Scott's '76 was a total pleasant surprise!!  This really is a great car for restoration!  The body is in great shape, the motor is strong (barks third), the frame appears to be near perfect, and all of Scott's hard work is less work that I will have to do.

The paint has been totally removed and the doors and interior were broken down.  All the main parts are there and were wrapped and packaged great.  Not to mention that this is a AC car with power windows, brakes, and steering.   Thanks Scott!

Here's some pics of the car getting to its new Texas home.

Here are some of the pics I borrowed from the website where the car was advertised.  The interior is gutted, but the body appears to be in good shape and the car is driven daily!  It will be a body off resto, but MUCH less work then the '69 and I'm fine with that!
